Vanilla Ice has apparently decided to ride out Hurricane Matthew and stay in his Palm Beach home.
Hurricane Matthew is expected to cause serious damage in the state of Florida and residents in its path have been advised to move to safer areas.
However, Vanilla Ice has decided to ride out the storm and stay in his Palm Beach home, reports CBS News.
In a series of updates via Twitter, the rapper posted: "This hurricane is serious and coming right at me. I'm going to ride out the storm. I'll keep you updated."
"Right now things are pretty calm, but you know what that means, the calm before the storm. The entire Florida Georgia and Carolina Coast."
"Riders on the storm. I am right on the ocean in Palm Beach looking at evil darkness sky coming with the hurricane."
Many Twitter users didn't seem to think it was a smart decision and suggested that he should evacuate in order to avoid risking his life as well as those of the first responders.
A tweet by Florida Democrats also noted, "We advise listening to your local officials, not @vanillaice. If you are in an evacuation zone, you should leave now."
