2 Homes Destroyed, 15 Damaged After Gas Leak, Explosion in Paterson

A gas leak caused an explosion in a residential area on Goshen Street in Paterson, New Jersey, on Tuesday, October 4. Two homes were destroyed and 15 others were damaged as a result of the blast, reported ABC 7 in New York.According to a statement from PSE&G, the gas company in Paterson, the fire department was called at approximately 9:15 am about a strong odor of gas. The fire department then evacuated residents, as gas crews and service technicians were responding.
Passaic County Water also reported possible discolored water in the area but that it is safe to drink.
