The mentality that idolizes Mawlana Rumi is not in accordance with the Quran

ADNAN OKTAR: Hulagu would consider Mawlana Rumi his right hand. And he would provide Mawlana with large sums of money. He would acquire this money by slaughtering Muslims and then give it to Rumi. This is a historical fact. Or perhaps there was another person named Rumi and the real Rumi was a different man. But still, the money would be given to a man named Rumi. These facts came to light after we had brought this issue up. I do not claim this person was the real Rumi. But such a man existed. And the books he wrote speak ill of Islam, surely Islam is above such wrongful claims. I cannot agree to this. I do not know, perhaps the real Rumi was a poor, pious Muslim who would perform his prayers five times a day. I do not have anything against this man. But he is talking about an idol. And I am fixated on this idol. This is what I am struggling against. I will not allow this idol. They will speak ill of the religion of Islam and I will be a mere spectator. Never. Besides, he says the Quran was sent through an agent; through Gabriel (pbuh)., and it will fade away and become obsolete in time. And he claims, "My book was revealed to me directly from God. I spoke directly to God. And this knowledge was granted to me directly by God. Therefore, my book will never fade away." Indeed, they are after discarding the Quran. They are after revering Masnavi over the Quran. He says that only angels can touch Masnavi.

OKTAR BABUNA: "Falsehood cannot reach it from before it or behind it" says Rumi for his book. This is a verse that God decreed for the Quran.

ADNAN OKTAR: Look at Masnavi, page 183: It is regarding the wine. "If a wise person drinks wine, he will become even wiser" says Rumi.  "If a wicked person drinks wine, he will become even more wicked."

ADNAN OKTAR: He says; your apprehension, your mind, your intelligence cannot grasp the profound wisdom in this book.  And then he goes ahead and drinks wine. Rumi says that nothing including wine is unlawful for the Mawlaw'iyya. These prohibitions are only for the common people. He says "Our path is an endless plain. We are walking on this path. On this path we walk, Islam does not exist. Nor does Christianity. Nor does irreligion.” In other words, Rumi says "Islam has no place on our path." And his followers say "He speaks delightfully, masha'Allah." Look at his words about our Prophet (saas). Masnavi, page 294: "Al-Mustafa was beset with the woe of separation." He is talking about the Prophet (saas) as if he is his friend. "He was beset with the woe of separation." "When he would feel distressed," says Rumi referring to the Prophet (saas), surely
