Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton clashed early and often at their first presidential debate Monday night at Hofstra University.
Trump hammered Clinton early on for her past support for foreign trade deals and her political insider status.
Clinton flipped the switch in the second half and forced Trump onto the defensive for long periods of time over issues of national security and gender.
Trump, toward the end of the debate, tried to undermine Clinton’s persistent argument that he’s temperamentally unfit for the nation’s highest office.
