The Moyers’ family vacation to Florida including Disney World came to a tragic end on Sunday when they were involved in a car accident that resulted in the deaths of both parents, Greg and Sarah, and serious injuries for their daughters, an 8-year old and a 13-year old.

A dream Disney vacation has turned into a tragedy for one Missouri family visiting Florida.

According to KSDK, the Moyers were involved in a car crash on Sunday which has resulted in the deaths of parents Greg and Sarah.

Both adults reportedly died at the scene while their daughters, a 13-year old and an 8-year old, were taken to a hospital with serious and critical injuries, respectively.

Police have said the accident occurred when another vehicle drifted into the family's car, causing them to veer off the road and hit a tree.

The Orlando Sentinel quotes a family friend as saying, “The girls don't know what happened to [their parents] yet. Everyone is on their way down there and that's when they'll tell them.  It's just devastating.”

Greg, a muffler shop owner, and Sarah, a McDonald’s manager, had reportedly saved for months to take their daughters on the Florida vacation which included Disney World and Universal Studios; they were headed to the beach at the time of the accident.

Meanwhile, the driver of the other car, 43-year-old Charles King of North Carolina, escaped with no injuries; an investigation is ongoing.
