A funny video has emerged of a little girl struggling to stay awake as she eats a popsicle.

The footage, shot earlier this month near Salt Lake City, UT, USA, shows the girl desperately trying to reach the popcicle with her tongue as she falls asleep.

The parents explained online that the lolly was supposed to distract her so she would not take a nap in the car and sleep better at night but it didn't quite do the trick.
