Cowboys Women's Association Hosts Charity Fashion Show

Gene and Jerry Jones Family Foundation and the Dallas Cowboys Women’s Association hosted Fashion’s First Down, a charity fashion show featuring the women of the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, June 2 at sixty five hundred in Dallas.

Chaired by Candice Romo, the fashion show is part of the Women’s Association’s year-round work to better the Dallas-Fort Worth community. The evening will be emceed by local news anchor Meredith Land and Cowboys Legend Darren Woodson. The runway show featured 18 DCWA members showcasing the designs of local fashion artist Nha Khanh, styled by The Clad Life and directed by Jan Strimple Productions all in an effort to raise vital funds for women and children in crisis

All proceeds from the evening will offer a brighter future for women and children served by Nexus Recovery Center in Dallas (substance abuse) and The Gatehouse at Grapevine (domestic and family violence).

For more than 40 years, Nexus Recovery Center has been the “miracle in between” addiction and recovery for women, adolescents, and children by removing the barriers women often face in receiving treatment for substance abuse. The Gatehouse provides a supportive, residential community for women and children victimized by abuse and/or facing other crisis. Women looking to make a permanent positive change can receive programing for up to three years.
