Obama to Make Final UN General Assembly Address as President
  • 8 years ago
President Obama is set to address the United Nations General Assembly today for his eighth and final time as president. Ben Rhodes, national security adviser, said the speech will be an opportunity for the president to “review some of the progress that's been made over the last eight years." “Today, it's obviously very different,” he said. The president’s speech comes as fighting in Syria has resumed after the ceasefire ended, and in the same month that North Korea conducted its second nuclear test of the year.
