"Mr. Robot" star Rami Malek picked up his first Emmy Award last night, making him the first minority actor in 18 years to win the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. The star, who is of Egyptian heritage, said he hoped his win would open the door for more ethnic minority actors. Malek held off competition from actors including Kevin Spacey, Matthew Rhys and Bob Odenkirk. Referring to his surprise win, he joked to the audience: "Please tell me you're seeing this too."
