Baylor is 2-0 on the season with the 40-13 home victory to the SMU Mustangs as a -34 ½ point betting favorite. The total finished at under 72 points. It was a slow start for the Bears as it was 6-6 at the half. They finished with 536 offensive yards with 5 yards a carry average on the ground on 55 carries. Quarterback Seth Russell hit on 26 of 47 passes for 261 yards with two touchdowns and two picks. Baylor had three turnovers but forced four away from SMU.
