Donald Trump Suggests Face Off With Clinton In A Moderator-Free Debate

During a Monday interview on CNBC’s ‘Squawk Box’ Donald Trump said he was concerned about being treated unfairly by moderators in the upcoming debates.

Donald Trump has aired many grievances about the upcoming debates, touching upon matters involving scheduling and bias.
During a Monday interview on CNBC’s ‘Squawk Box’ he expressed another concern, this time regarding his anticipated poor treatment by the moderators.
Trump said, “I think maybe we should have no moderator. Let Hillary and I sit there and just debate, because I think the system is being rigged so it's going to be a very unfair debate."
In support of his assertion, he noted that Matt Lauer’s perceived lax approach to fact checking during the Commander-in-Chief Forum will likely result in increased scrutiny among future moderators.
The first Trump and Clinton debate is scheduled for September 26 and will be moderated by NBC’s Lester Holt.
