Kapil Sharma’s pay packet should make Alia Bhatt, Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor extremely jealous!
If recent estimates of Kapil Sharma's fees are to be believed, then the ace comedian is making a lot more than Bollywood actors like Shraddha Kapoor and Alia Bhatt!The ace comedian is pocketing a whopping 6.4 crores every month as per a recent media report
They say that making people laugh is no laughing matter. The same seems to hold true for the kind of moolah, Kapil Sharma, the king of comedy is commanding in recent times. As per a report in DNA, he makes around Rs 60-80 lakhs per day for The Kapil Sharma Show. With this approximate, it is anywhere in the range of Rs 3.6 to 6.4 crore a month. It is a staggering amount no doubt, but what is more shocking is that it’s higher than some of Bollywood’s top gen-next actors like Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Parineeti Chopra to name a few. And think of it, he makes that much every month from a show whereas they get it from a film in a year. So, it is not surprising to see them do more than a single film every year. As per trade estimates, Alia Bhatt makes around Rs 4-5 crore every film while Shraddha Kapoor is around Rs 3 to 3.5 crore per film. Amongst the boys, Aditya Roy Kapur and Tiger Shroff reportedly charge Rs 6 crore per film but reports suggests it is fluctuating. We are sure these details might have surprised you but the fact is TV has a lot more money than many of us assume.
Kapil Sharma’s net worth has been on the rise since 2014-15. Reports suggested that he was charging Rs 40 lakhs for a single episode of Comedy Nights With Kapil. Sunil Grover is paid the highest after him. Obviously, the comedian runs a production company and has to look after the entire expenses of the creative and staff.

The laughter king is also sought after by quite a few brands. From the Honda Mobilio ad in 2014 to OLX, Policy Bazaar and Micromax, his endorsement kitty has also gone up considerably. He had reportedly charged Rs 4.5 crore for the Honda Mobilio ad in 2014. And just look at it. He replaced Hugh Jackman as the face of Micromax this June. That is a big deal in itself! It was in sync with the firm’s initiative to target the regional markets. In a Bollywood comparison, Alia Bhatt charges Rs 75 lakh to 1 crore for an endorsement as per day fee while Ranveer Singh is at Rs 1 crore to 1.5 crores.
Kapil Sharma was a little slow in jumping onto the endorsement space. In his own admission, he does not like “too much at one time”. He reportedly declined many innerwear ads as he did not want to strut around in hosiery and prefers creatives that have a touch of quirkiness. In comparison, Aditya Roy Kapur, Parineeta Chopra, Sushant Singh Rajput all have their endorsement fees in the range of Rs 1 to 2 crore.

Keeping aside the TV show and endorsements, Kapil and his gang also does show across India and abroad. In 2015, we were stunned when news surfaced that he was asking for Rs 75 lakhs to solo host a show. As per a recent report, a live gig can cost close to a stupendous Rs 1 crore for the entire team. Of course, he prepares separately for every performance right from the creative aspect to script, everything is supervised. His own fees is touted above Rs 12 crores for a show. In fact, advertisers too are willing to pay a premium for space during his show on TV.
Such brand value is commanded by only a few actors and actresses in Bollywood. And their success is hugely dependent on their films. Besides his status as a superb entertainer, Kapil Sharma has built a brand value that can give inferiority complex to many stars!
