Notes: The Lions missed the playoffs in 2015 after a poor start to the season. They suffered a major blow in the offseason as wide out Calvin Johnson decided to retire. Matthew Stafford returns as quarterback as he comes off a campaign where he completed 67.2% of his passes for 4262 yards with 32 touchdowns and 13 picks. The running game has struggled for years and in the backfield are Ameer Abdullah and Theo Riddick. The passing targets are Anquan Boldin, Andrew Roberts and Golden Tate. The Lions offense was 20th in the league a season ago as the team averaged 346 yards per game.

Indianapolis failed to make the post season in 2015. Despite missing Andrew Luck for much of the year they were just one game behind the Houston Texans for the AFC South title. Luck played in just seven games in 2015 and completed 55.3% of his throws for 1881 yards with 15 touchdowns and 12 picks. The running backs are Frank Gore and Jordan Todman. The weapons in the passing game are T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief. The Colts sank all the way down to 28th in the NFL in offense by averaging 321 yards per game.
