Notes: The Oakland Raiders could be a player in the AFC West divisional race. The team has collected enough talent in the post Al Davis era to move forward once again. Its starts at quarterback, as Derek Carr have shown improvement from his rookie season. Carr completed 61.1% of his throws in 2015 for 3987 yards with 32 touchdowns and 13 picks. In the backfield are Latavius Murray and Taiwan Jones. Amari Cooper had a great rookie campaign and is flanked by Michael Crabtree. Oakland must get the defense in order before than can be talk of a division crown or playoff spot. The Raiders were the 22nd ranked defense a season ago as they gave up 363 yards per game.

It was another disappointing year for the New Orleans Saints as they failed to make the playoffs in 2015. Despite having the second rating offense in the league the Saints fell all the way down to 31st and second to last in total defense by giving up 413 yards per game. Teams ran for nearly 5 yards per carry on them and converted 40% of the time on third down. At the quarterback positon veteran Drew Brees returns after a 2015 campaign that saw him hit on 68% of his throws for 4870 yards with 32 touchdowns and 11 picks. In his backfield are Mark Ingram, C.J. Spiller and Tim Hightower. Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead are out wide.
