Tony Romo won't be placed on injured reserve to start the season. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed Tuesday that his team will keep Tony Romo on the 53-man active roster as the quarterback works his way back from a broken back he suffered in the preseason. Jones went on to say that Romo has another planned test to see "how things are going" over the last two weeks since he suffered a compression fracture to his L1 vertebra in the preseason game at Seattle on Aug. 25.
