Earthquake in Shan state
Up to 75 people have died after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Burma's Shan state on Thursday evening. Relief teams fear however that the region's more isolated towns and villages may bear more victims as authorities struggle with the amount of medical treatment needed. Footage from the town of Tarlay, close to the epicenter, shows large crevices in roads and near-flattened buildings.
