Helicopter rescues people stranded in church by Louisiana floods

Footage of a group of people who were stranded in a church by flooding in Louisiana, USA, being rescued by a helicopter on Sunday.

The video, filmed near the Hebron Baptist Church in Denham Springs, shows the group being airlifted to safely, ahead of being taken to Baton Rouge Metro Airport.

The filmer later wrote online: "I was a refugee at the Hebron Baptist Church in Denham Springs and as the church started taking on water and ran out of food all of the refugees in the church were lifted by helicopter to the Baton Rouge Metro Airport.

"This is the footage from the ride covering Livingston Parish and East Baton Rouge Parish and all of the damage from the flood."
