Paul Manafort denies receiving $12.7 million in Ukraine cash exchange

Leader of the Donald Trump campaign, Paul Manafort, is denying allegations made by a New York Times report that political leaders in the Ukraine set aside $12.7 million in undisclosed payments for the campaign chairman.
The Times report implicated the political party of Ukraine’s pro-Russian former president Viktor Yanukovych and Manafort, to which the latter responded "I have never received a single ‘off-the-books cash payment’ as falsely ‘reported’ by the New York Times nor have I ever done work for the governments of Ukraine or Russia."
The report also alleges anti-corruption investigators are investigating the earmarked payments which had been recorded on a secret ledger, though they have yet to prove whether Manafort received any cash.
