Report: Ex-Twitter CEO ordered the censoring of abusive tweets to Obama

A report from BuzzFeed news alleges that ex-Twitter CEO Dick Costolo told the company’s media team to censor tweets directing abuse at President Obama during a 2015 Q&A session. Costello denied the report, calling it "laughably false." The team allegedly used an algorithm to filter out abusive comments. The team is also said to have censored messages manually.
