According to CNN, the United States Secret Service (USSC) has had a talk with the Trump campaign concerning the candidate’s recent comment about stopping Hillary Clinton.

During a Tuesday rally in North Carolina Trump questioned what might happen to gun rights if Clinton is the one nominating Supreme Court Justices.

He then said, “…nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is.”

Those words have been interpreted as a threat by many, and a USSC told CNN that since the comment was made, "There has been more than one conversation" with the Trump team on the matter.

The campaign denies the comment was intended as a call for violence, saying it was made to encourage unity among ardent Second Amendment supporters.
