In an opinion piece published in the Washington Post on Wednesday, Republican Joe Scarborough reaches out to his fellow party members, saying they, “…must dump Trump.”
Joe Scarborough, a former Republican congressman and the host of ‘Morning Joe,’ has at times gone easy on Donald Trump, but such treatment has come to a definitive end, notes Business Insider.
In an opinion piece published in the Washington Post on Wednesday, Scarborough reaches out to his fellow party members, saying they, “…must dump Trump.”
At the core of his appeal is the GOP candidate’s recent suggestion that ‘Second Amendment people’ stop Hillary Clinton.
On the matter, Scarborough writes, “Trump and his supporters have been scrambling wildly all day to explain away the inexplicable, but they can stop wasting their time. The GOP nominee was clearly suggesting that some of the 'Second Amendment people' among his supporters could kill his Democratic opponent were she to be elected."
He also stresses, “A bloody line has been crossed that cannot be ignored. At long last, Donald Trump has left the Republican Party few options but to act decisively and get this political train wreck off the tracks before something terrible happens.”
