Rescue workers said their bodies were found on Saturday in a ravine at an altitude of 3,800 metres, on the Italian side of the Matterhorn mountain.

The two 67-year-old men, identified as Peter Rumble and Dennis
Robinson, sent out a mayday call during a storm, but the high winds slowed down rescue efforts.

Temperatures dropped to minus 10 degrees Celsius, and their bodies were found buried in snow.
