Rodney Harris hooked a big fish off the West Australian coast on July 19. Instead of the dhufish he was hoping for, however, Harris found a gummy shark on the end of his line, caught by its pectoral fin.Harris told Storyful: “I’m not a huge fan of eating shark—releasing it and watching it swim off was pretty awesome.”
The gummy shark is also known as the “flake,” or the Australian smooth hound, and is classified as sustainable seafood. Credit: YouTube/Rodney Harris
