Diner Accidentally Leaves A Roughly $1.3 Million Tip

A man dining in Scotland almost left a $1.3 million gratuity.

Ask restaurant servers what a good tip is and answers will vary, but likely all will agree getting over a million dollars on a roughly $130 check is truly phenomenal.
A man dining in Scotland almost left such a gratuity.
When the time came to pay the check, the man asked to enter the amount into the card machine himself.
The transaction was declined, and restaurant owner Abdul Wahid called the bank, answered a series of questions, and approval was given.
When the machine was handed back to Wahid, he realized the diner had entered a tip equal to about $1.3 million.
The diner was informed and quickly adjusted the transaction, leaving a gratuity more befitting his tab.
