Leo Gorcey and the East Side Kids: Boys in the City (1940)

This second East Side Kids feature has the Kids on a trip to a camp out in the country, where they stumble upon a judge and his ward, Louise, stranded on the road. The boys take pity on them despite the fact that the judge is the same man who wrongfully convicted Knuckles of a crime in the first film. They accompany the judge to his vacation mansion which turns out to be “haunted.” After the judge is murdered and his ward goes missing, the Boys try to find the real killer, since Knuckles has been fingered for the crime because he has the motive!
