The 39-year-old Australian fast bowler began shooting the film in October, 2014. Shooting wrapped up in April, 2015. This year, the film was screened at the 69th Cannes Film Festival.
The film is directed by Australia-based Anupam Sharma, best known for directing the tongue-in-cheek documentary Indian Aussies: Terms & Conditions Apply, based on the lives of Indian Australians.
