kandy lake is an artificial lake in the heart of the hill city of kandy srilanka,
Built in 1807 BY KING sriwikkrama rajasinghe next to the temple of tooth.
it is a protected lake ,with fishing banned.The small islend at its center was used by the kings helm for bathing........and was connected to the palace by tunna........................................................................
