French bulldog and koi’s smooching should be your new #relationshipgoals

FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON — Daisy is an 8-year-old French bulldog who found herself a boyfriend in the most unlikely place: a koi pond.

ABC reports that when Daisy’s owner, Washington resident Carrie Bredy, brought home a koi carp named Frank, sparks flew between him and the dog.

Of Bredy’s dogs, only Daisy visits the pond. She goes regularly, ignoring the other fish and waiting for Frank. When he shows up, she dips her head down and the two start kissing. Bredy initially thought it was a one-time incident, but it continued every time the two met.

Granted, the interspecies makeout may not be the best thing for Frank’s health. According to an aquaculture researcher contacted by Huffington Post, there’s a risk that Frank may get a disease from the contact.
