Volunteers swing sledgehammers at glass bridge in China to prove it's safe

The world's longest and highest glass bridge was put through a "safety test" over the weekend. Not only did the owners of the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon bridge in China drive a 2-tonne SUV over the glass bridge, but also invited volunteers to swing sledgehammers at the glass. Though the bridge did not collapse, there were several cracks in the top layer, which is made up of three layers of 0.6-inch glass.
