Kaziranga National Park: Exploring a One-Horned Adventure

Located just 219 km from Guwahati, Assam, Kaziranga National Park should be a must visit destination in your wild tours itinerary. Sprawled across 688 sq km, the dense vegetation of Kaziranga National Park mainly comprises of tall grasslands and riverine forests. Located to the south of the Brahmaputra, it is dotted with marshes, streams, ox-bow lakes and the one-horned rhinos. Yes about 1100 of these dwindling species can be seen in their wild best in the olive green contours of Kaziranga!

Besides the one horned rhinocerous, the wild spirit of Kaziranga National Park is also manifested through elephants, water buffaloes, swamp deer, leopards, tigers, Gangetic dolphins and many other forms of animal life.
