LUBBOCK, TEXAS — Police have released the 911 audio and bodycam footage of a man being arrested outside a fast food restaurant, just two days after a witness video of the incident went viral.

KFYO reports that around 2 a.m. on June 25, two Whataburger employees reported an aggressive man harassing and threatening to assault customers.

When police responded to the incident, they approached the man, who was standing near his white pickup truck. A little boy, presumably the man’s son, was inside the truck.

The altercation began when an officer tried to check the suspect for weapons. When the man resisted, a struggle ensued. Authorities made numerous attempts to restrain him, including using a taser, while the little boy screamed inside the car.

Three officers eventually managed to hold the suspect down and cuff him, according to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

While on the ground, he told police he would see them in court, alleging police brutality.
But after a review of the videos taken of the incident, police officials believe the officers acted appropriately.

The man, later identified as Eliseo Padilla III, was charged with three counts of assault, resisting arrest, and failure to identify. He may have been intoxicated on an unknown drug.
