The actress has been signed by Ketan Mehta for his biopic on Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi. The actress immediately signed the film since she was acquainted with her history. Sources say, “Kangana has read about Lakshmi Bai in school. So, when she was approached for the role, she was very excited. She also loved Ketan’s script, and was impressed with the kind of research that has gone into it.” It will be an Indo-British production so it will be on a grand scale. What’s more interesting is Hollywood star Hugh Grant has been approached to play the foreign officer. With such strong actors coming together we can’t wait for the project.
