Rory McIlroy withdraws from Rio 2016 Olympics because of 'Zika risk'

Rory McIlroy has announced that he will not compete at the Rio Olympics later this summer  because of the threat posed by the Zika virus "Even though the risk of infection from the Zika virus is considered low, it is a risk nonetheless and a risk I am unwilling to take," said McIlroy, 27 And he added: "I trust the Irish people will understand my decision."
