The whole Udta Punjab controversy took the nation by storm. Finally a verdict was given that movie is set to release on it's original date that was 17th June 2016. A press conference was held in Mumbai where the entire team Ekta Kapoor, Vikas Bahl, Abhishek Choubey, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap, Diljit Dosanjh were present minus Kareena Kapoor. The entire team of the movie thanked the media and the people for their support.
