Airlift movie is a new trending topic in the Indian Film Industry. Well lets see some of the interesting facts about this upcoming movie. Airlift is directed by Raja Krishna Menon, starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles, which is set to release on 22nd January 2016. Well Akshay Kumar plays Ranjit Katyal and Nimrat Kaur plays the role of Amrita Katyal, the wife of Ranjit. The film is based on biggest evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war in 1990. The story of 'Airlift' is based on Business Tycoon Ranjit Katyal, who helps Indian government to evacuate all Indians from war zone. As per reports, the first schedule of the movie was shot in the area of Ras Al Khaimah depicting Kuwait during war. The evacuation of 1,70,000 Indians from the war area is the highest number which recorded up to date after Berlin evacuation. Indian government used 488 flights in 59 days to evacuate people from the war zone. Akshay also learned Arabic language for some days before shooting the film.
