Man disguises himself as elevator repairman to 'steal' phone

A CCTV video emerged of a man disguised as an elevator repairman to allegedly steal a woman's phone.
The footage, shot earlier this month in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, shows a man dressed as a maintenance worker opening an elevator in which a woman is trapped.
According to local news, the man told her he was there to repair the elevator and asked her to lend him her phone to call the property management.
Reportedly, the doors closed again after she gave him the phone, and he had to open the doors again to rescue her.
When she asked her phone back, reports say the man told her he dropped it into the elevator shaft and ran away.
The thief was arrested.
