Bernie Sanders expected to lay off half of campaign staff

Bernie Sanders has given every indication that he will fight on towards the Democratic National Convention in July despite Hillary Clinton clinching the party's nomination with a slew of wins on Tuesday night.
However, after spending over $2 million on ads in California only to come up short, the Vermont senator is set to begin laying off advance staff members who often help with campaign logistics, as well as field staff members who have been working to garner votes for the senator.
Sanders last hope of turning his campaign around is his lobbying of superdelegates — party officials and state leaders who cast their final votes at the convention — who could siphon support from Clinton.
