Dad attacks his daughter’s smirking murderer in court

CLEVELAND, OHIO — In the summer of 2013, Michael Madison tortured, raped, mutilated and murdered three women in East Cleveland. One of his victims was 18-year-old Shirellda Terry
In an incident that’s captured the sympathy of many, this young woman’s father attacked the smiling, remorseless killer in court at his sentencing on June 2.
Shirellda Terry’s father, Van Terry, was offering a final victim's impact statement before the judge imposed sentence on Michael Madison when Van Terry said Madison grinned at him. Van Terry reportedly later said he simply could not control himself, and lunged across the room as he attempted to attack the man who tortured, raped and killed his daughter.
Van Terry was pushed out of the courtroom. Reports say Ohio prosecutors are still deciding whether to charge him with a crime. Killer Michael Madison was sentenced to death by Judge Nancy R. McDonnell, the first death sentence she’s imposed in over 20 years on the bench.
