Pentagon: U.S. air strikes in Yemen kill 15

Officials from the U.S. military announced Friday that an airstrike carried out in Yemen this month killed four al Qaeda militants, bringing the total number of deaths in the terrorist group to 15 in recent months.
The total number of strikes carried out by the U.S. military in Yemen this year againstal Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) is now at nine, the statement said.
There has now been nine total airstrikes commissioned bythe U.S military in Yemen this year.
Al Qaeda took control of Yemeni towns along the Arabian Sea coastline during more over a tumultuous period of war in the country.
