U.S. Official: Prince death ruled an opioid overdose

A U.S. law enforcement official has shed some light on music legend Prince's death, telling the Associated Press his passing was indeed because of an opioid overdose. The official, who is close to the investigation, confirms this was established by tests done after the singer's death in April. Detectives questioned Dr. Michael Schulenberg who was in the company of Prince twice in the weeks leading up to his death. Schulenberg prescribed medication to the singer on April 20, exactly one day before Prince died.
