A record-breaking bridge is finally expected to open in the next few weeks, according to a recent report by Inhabitat.
The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, located in the Hunan province of China, was initially slated for a public launch this month, but heavy rains and other delays pushed the date to June or July.
That said, Joe Chen, one of the executives overseeing the project, is quoted as saying that “the bridge is 99 percent complete.”
Once finished, it will be “the world's longest and highest glass-bottom bridge.”
As many as 800 visitors will be able to look down at the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon which lies around 984 feet below.
