Chinese man gets head stuck in washing machine trying to fix it

FUQING CITY, CHINA — A Chinese man found himself in quite the predicament after trying to fix a washing machine.
On May 29, the man was trying to use a washing machine in Fuqing City in southeastern Fujian province, when it stopped working, NBC News reported.
The man thought something might have been stuck inside the drum, so he decided to check it out by sticking his head inside the machine. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to pull it back out.
The man’s roommate found him and decided to help by lubricating the drum with soap, hoping it would help the man’s head slip out. But to no avail.
Police and firefighters had to disassemble the machine and cut the man’s head out of it. The ordeal took 40 minutes, but the man escaped with just a few scratches.
