Timelapse of Bigelow Expandable Activity Module Inflation

Watch a timelapse from video taken on Thursday, May 26th 2016 and Saturday, May 28th 2016 as NASA astronaut Jeff Williams manually inflated the Bigelow Expandable Activity Module (BEAM) by opening a valve inside the International Space Station.

BEAM launched in the trunk of the CRS-8 SpaceX Dragon which arrived to the ISS on April 10th, The module was berthed to the Tranquillity module on April 16th.

BEAM is a temporary and experimental module to the ISS to test the viability of inflatable habitats for future spaceflight use, BEAM will be entered several times a year by the astronauts to conduct experiments on how BEAM is coping with space.
