NASA Gets Ready To Send Spacecraft To Asteroid For First Time

According to a recent news release, NASA is preparing to send its spacecraft OSIRIS-REx to explore the ‘near-Earth asteroid Bennu’ which is believed to have been present when the solar system was formed; the current launch date is September 8.

On Wednesday, the agency issued a news release about the mission which will send OSIRIS-REx spacecraft to “the unknown surface of the near-Earth asteroid Bennu.”
