Toyota announces 'strategic investment' in Uber

Toyota announced Tuesday that it has made a "strategic investment" in ride-hailing giant Uber. Additionally, Toyota also said it will begin offering auto leases to Uber drivers, but they didn't say how much the investment was. Rival General Motors invested in Lyft back in January. The arrangement may result in the development of in-car apps to help drivers, as well as a special fleet program to sell Toyota and Lexus vehicles to Uber.
