Paul McCartney discussed his heavy drinking and depression after the Beatles broke-up in 1970 during an interview on BBC Radio 4’s Mastertapes McCartney said the split came somewhat naturally as the four members grew up, got married and moved away from each other But the break-up still left him feeling uncertain about his future in music McCartney credits his wife Linda who convinced him to start a new project McCartney also labeled Kanye West’s 2015 hit “All Day” as “brilliant,” discussing their mutual appreciation for each other
