Pupils at a primary school in Birmingham, England, working with their teachers and the Sent into Space organisation, launched a rocket attached to a large balloon into space on May 16.
The people at the Robin Hood Academy in Hall Green attached cameras to the apparatus to capture remarkable footage as the rocket and balloon made their way skywards, eventually reaching reported heights of 20 miles. The rocket, which was designed by the students and printed using a 3D printer at the school, was successfully recovered after landing 50 miles from its launch site.
