Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan, who had been shooting in Ludhiana for Dangal, in which he plays wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, suffered a severe shoulder injury and had to be rushed back to Mumbai for treatment, claim sources!

An insider reveals that Khan had been shooting for a wrestling sequence at the Guru Nanak stadium when he collapsed. Initially, it was assumed that he has just pulled a muscle, but it was later discovered that he has suffered a severe injury to his shoulder. Being a Perfectionist, Aamir had bulked up considerably for his role and had also refused to use a body double for his action scenes.

Dangal, which is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is based on the life of wrestler-turned-coach Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trained his daughters in the sport.
