TSA Called Out For Long Lines And Angry Passengers
- 8 years ago
Executives of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey sent a letter to the TSA last week, complaining about the long waits and angry passengers, including the fact that travelers have reached their ‘breaking point.’
Security checkpoints may be a necessity at airports, but the increasing wait times are fuelling frustrations and could result in a change in supplier.
On May 4th, executives at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey wrote a letter to the TSA, or Transportation Security Administration, saying, in part, that “the patience of the flying public has reached a breaking point.”
It goes on to say that wait times have “risen dramatically in recent months, prompting angry complaints from passengers, terminal operators and airlines alike.”
A recent CBS News article quotes passengers who were affected by the delays; one traveler even missed her flight because of the long lines.
