Surveillance video shows man shot nine times at point blank range

FAIRFIELD, ALABAMA — A shocking video was released of an incident that occurred earlier this month when a man was gunned down at a gas station in Fairfield, Alabama.
Adarius Elon Williams, 28, a father of four who celebrated a birthday the day before he was killed, died April 8 in the parking lot of the Citgo station on Milstead Road. Brother and sister, Vincent Washington, 25, and Williams' former fiance Barbara Washington, 31, have been charged with murder in Williams' death. Store surveillance video captured the incident.
Williams can be seen in the video approaching a white sedan. Vincent, with a towel wrapped around his head, steps out of the car from the back seat. The two seem to be discussing something when Vincent pulls out a gun and repeatedly shoots Williams even after he falls to the ground. Witnesses said he was shot nine time at point blank range. The gunman then walks casually back to the vehicle, gets in the back seat and is driven away.
According to police and court records, the brother and sister told Barbara Washington's friend that they would pay for her gas if she drove them to the Citgo station that day. The two were meeting Williams because he wanted the engagement ring he gave Barbara back. Williams' new fiancé at the time of his death was also with him at the gas station the day he was killed.
The friend and driver of the vehicle told police she wasn't aware of the siblings' plans, and that when Vincent wrapped the towel around his head she wanted to leave. She said that Vincent told her he would shoot her in the back of the head if she drove off too early.
Vincent was later found at a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds police believe he received from someone trying to help Williams.
The siblings are in police custody. Vincent faces an additional charge of kidnapping for threatening the driver of his vehicle.
